This design is titled "Emerging Butterfly". It's with my sister, Sue.

This is one of the earliest counted cross stitch projects that I did. It dates from sometime in 2004 and is a commemorative piece I did for my Dad. It measures roughly 9" wide x 12" long.
I called this project "The Challenge". It's the first big piece I did and was quite complicated. The fabric is 32 count linen and the center medallion is stitched "over one" (32 stitches to the inch); the medallion is centered in a flame stitch (an embroidery stitch I was not familiar with). There were five (count 'em - five) charts. This was, indeed, a challenge.

This is a very large piece. It measures 17" wide by 32 1/2" long. It is by far the largest piece I've ever done. I really liked the hat and face and use this as an avatar on some Web sites.
I donated this one to the Houston Public Library (Houston, MO).

In 2006 I finished this 11" wide x 12" long. This was the first Jobelan fabric I had worked on and I loved it. It was soft in the hand and was wonderful to work with.
