Winter White Santa
Winter White Santa

This 13" x 17" piece (32 count Twilight Blue linen) was designed by Nora Corbett for Mirabilia.  This is a substantial piece that really makes an impact.  It incorporates five different beads, mohair floss as well as Kreinik braid.

This is the first seasonal piece I've done.  I worked on this from October 2014 through March 2015. Very poor timing on my part 😢!

Woodland Enchantress
Woodland Enchantress

This woodland "fairy" as I came to call her is on 16 count dove gray Aida and the finished size is 14" by 12".   I started in late 2012 and finished in early 2014. She sits on the mantle above our fireplace.

Fall Fairy
Fall Fairy

This is a companion piece to Woodland Enchantress, both of which are charted and sold by Dimensions Needlecrafts. This measures 14" x 12" on 16 count dove gray Aida. I started and finished the piece in 2011. The frame was designed and crafted by my better-half, Mike.

Mabry Mill
Mabry Mill

Mabry Mill is a water mill built in 1903 and is a scenic attraction in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The chart was designed by Stephanie Seabrook Hedgepath. On 14 count white Aida, it's 17" x 11" without mat and frame.  I started and finished this in 2012.

Nikko Yumoto Spa
Nikko Yumoto Spa

My wonderful and talented husband Mike matted and framed this for me.

This 1200 year old spa is built on a hot spring in Japan.  Design size is 16" x 12" on 16 count cream Aida fabric.  I gave the finished piece to my sister-in-law Tracey.

I began and finished this in 2011.

My Great-niece Evelyn
My Great-niece Evelyn

I stitched this "Faerie Winter Dream" as a gift to Evelyn. This Nora Corbett design is stitched on 32-count linen with many beads and Kreinik braid as well as DMC floss.

My Great-nephew Sam
My Great-nephew Sam

Sam loves the game Minecraft so I stitched this for him.  The chart was created by Happy Cupcake Creations and can be found here

My Great-Niece Camille
My Great-Niece Camille

Another pixie for my Great-Niece Camille!  This Nora Corbett design was stitched on 32-count antique white Jobelan (a lovely fabric to work with!). It features wisteria-colored beads and Kreinik thread.

Easter Flowers
Easter Flowers

This jug of spring flowers was a joy to work on.  Eva Rosenstand, the designer, kept the confetti (stitchers terminology of scattered, single stitches) to a minimum.  The finished size is 19" x 20" on 28 count ivory linen.  I began this project in February, 2014 and finished in October, 2014.

Lily Sampler (aka "The Challenge")
Lily Sampler (aka "The Challenge")

An early [2005?] project that contained FIVE different charts and a multitude of colors. Not only was there cross stitch, but also a flame stitch around the center medallion. I think this was a 32 count linen and the entire center medallion (lilies) was over one. I thought I might go totally crazy, but the final outcome was astonishing.  Mike put the capper on it with his custom designed and crafted frame.
